I...did something get screwed up in the translation? "If all you have" generally means it's not the best option. Maybe it was supposed to be something more along the lines of "if your whole team is water types".

God, what's with people ordering me about? At least this is to fight someone rather than be backup.

I guess this actually makes sense as a roadblock - I'm irritated but I think that's because this is a retread of hiker asshole. This is a perfectly fine badge-related block in itself, it's just that it's the second time they've made me get a badge in order to get past someone.

You know, considering how annoyed I usually am by the game ignoring me, it's odd that I wouldn't mind the barrier just disappearing with implied time. I guess it's because I also like the idea things go along on their own, and also because that's how it was a lot in the first games.

Charles keeps going on about being a heartbreaker. Don't care! Battle time!

Okay, I'm finding the avenue thing kind of addictive. I particularly like the antique store, even if all I'm getting right now are hard rocks.

Pokemon I download off Pokecheck produce trainers, so I just grabbed a bunch more pokemon from there.

So, as I warned you earlier, next month's going to be all fanfiction, all the time. Or fanfiction mixed with some B2 since I doubt I'm going to be finishing that by the end of this month.

Last time I did this, I was considering turning PMs off for the duration and having a forum thread for people to post in instead of the author updates I posted here. So, what would you prefer? Posts here compiling the responses or a thread on the FFN forum for people to post in? The forum thing has the benefit of being easier and of everyone on the same page, but the downside that most people will probably just miss it. It also means people can't PM me for legitimate reasons, which usually happens a couple times. There's a poll on the right and you should comment here with whatever reason for your feelings you want me to consider.

Dec 20th-24th! I'm now almost done with last year. Of course, dates are deceiving  I'm about to hit all the gift fic, and while carapaces may be less common than trolls, there was a lot of gift fic.

Huh, this area is kind of creepy! Remember it was desert last game? Not only is it hugely built up now, but there's trees and fountains and grass, so this is undoubtedly destroying the local water table. It's like LA!

Okay, so actually the movie thing looks moderately interesting. You have to figure out the right moves to fulfill the script. And you do get items for succeeding! Unfortunately it's set up in a rather punishing manner, where it's easy to fail due to chance move use.

Battle Royale Introduction and Prologue

So...Battle Royale.

I read maybe half of the manga, the official English translation that rewrote the story to be about a TV show. I made many comparisons to it while reading the Hunger Games, mostly to the effect of how kids in the latter were emotionless drones compared to kids in the former. That said, the manga was hardly without its own issues, and I'm interested to see how the book compares.
